Privacy Policy — Utkal Laundry

Utkal Laundry lets customers browse laundry service categories, place pickup orders, and track order status (Billed → Sent to Wash → Received → Processed → Delivered). Payment is Pay on Delivery only (Cash / UPI / Card recorded offline by shop staff). The app sells physical services only — no digital goods, no in-app billing.

We collect only what is needed for laundry ordering and delivery:

a) Google Sign-In account data (scopes email, profile, openid only):

• Name, email address, Google user ID, profile photo URL (if set in your Google account).

b) Profile data you provide:

• Name, mobile number, delivery address, pincode, alternate mobile / email (optional).

c) Order data:

• Ordered items, quantities, rates, bill amounts, discounts, delivery address snapshot, order status history, payment mode (PAY_ON_DELIVERY) and amounts paid / balance due.

d) Preferences stored on your device (local cache only):

• Cached customer profile for fast sign-in. Cleared on sign-out.

e) Technical data processed automatically:

• Backend requests over HTTPS, garment catalogue / avatar images loaded via HTTPS, app fonts loaded via Google Fonts.
• No precise location, contacts, SMS/call logs, camera/mic, photo library, files, advertising ID, or health data is collected.
• No analytics, crash-reporting, or ads SDKs. No WebView browsing. No background tracking.

• Create and manage your customer account.
• Create, fulfil, and show status of your laundry orders and receipts.
• Contact you about pickup / delivery (including WhatsApp if you opt in).
• Prevent fraud, enforce Terms, comply with law.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use data for ads or cross-app tracking.

• Supabase (database host): stores account and order data; access restricted by our backend rules.
• Google Sign-In: verifies your identity; Google receives standard sign-in telemetry per Google's own privacy policy.
• No other third parties. No data brokers, advertisers, or analytics vendors.
• We disclose data to authorities only when required by applicable Indian law.

• Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in our secured backend database.
• Local app cache holds your profile on-device until sign-out / uninstall.
• Shop receipts (bill number, name/mobile/address snapshot) are retained for accounting / tax records even after account deletion — see §7.
• We do not claim end-to-end encryption of stored data. Do not share OTPs or passwords in support chats.

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing utkallaundry@gmail.com or using the in-app Delete Account option (My Account → Delete Account).

• In-app: My Account → Delete Account → confirm. Deletes your customer profile, clears on-device cache, and disconnects Google Sign-In. Order history rows linked to tax invoices may be anonymised rather than hard-deleted where the law requires retention; we will tell you what was retained.
• Web (no reinstall needed): request account deletion at /delete-account or data-only deletion at /delete-data — or simply email utkallaundry@gmail.com with subject Delete my Utkal Laundry account from your registered email (include your name + registered mobile number).
• Deleted within 30 days: profile (name, mobile, address, pincode, email), Google Sign-In link, on-device cache, preferences, WhatsApp opt-in, personal identifiers on orders.
• Retained (anonymised), up to 6 years: bill number, items, quantities, rates, amounts, discounts, payment mode for GST / accounting per Indian law — personal identifiers removed. We confirm by email what was deleted vs retained.

Order alerts are shown in-app. WhatsApp reminders are sent only if you have opted in. You can opt out anytime via utkallaundry@gmail.com. The app currently requests no push-notification permission and performs no background collection.

The app is a general household utility, not directed at children under 13. Accounts must be created by an adult. If you believe a child provided data, contact us for removal.

Material changes will be posted at the URL above with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
